Rajasthan Home Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham confirmed that the Indian Army successfully foiled a drone attack attempt by Pakistan near Jaisalmer and other border areas. Speaking in Jaipur, he praised the army for giving a “befitting reply” and ensuring that civilians were not harmed.
In response to the incident, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma convened a high-level meeting today to review the situation and give necessary instructions. Bedham shared that the state government is taking all possible steps to strengthen border security and assist both the armed forces and local populations.
He added that administrative officers with previously vacant posts have been sent to the border regions, where they will coordinate closely with State Police and Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC) units. These teams have been instructed to provide full support to army personnel and civilians alike.
“The Rajasthan government will leave no stone unturned in helping our army men, the military force, and the common people living in border areas,” Bedham said, assuring that efforts are already underway on the ground.
This comes amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following recent hostilities. The state’s quick response underscores its commitment to national security and civilian protection.
