PM Modi Unveils Former President Ram Nath Kovind’s Autobiography. On Wednesday, PM Modi unveiled the autobiography of former President Ram Nath Kovind at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi. It is titled ‘Triumph of the Indian Republic: My Life, My Struggles’.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former President Ram Nath Kovind, and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla were present at the event. A large number of people also attended the program.

Addressing the gathering, Speaker Om Birla said, “Ram Nath Kovind ji was born into a humble family. He faced many challenges in his early life; he had to travel several kilometers just to attend school, yet despite these obstacles, his resolve never wavered. This book is a portrayal of that extraordinary determination—a source of inspiration for us all.”
Former President Ram Nath Kovind said, “Today’s occasion is unique for me because the subject of the discussion is my own personal life. I express my gratitude to everyone for joining the launch of my autobiography, ‘Triumph of the Indian Republic: My Life, My Struggles’.”

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kovind said, “I first met Modi ji while working as a party activist in public life. At that time, he was playing a very active role within the party. I had the opportunity to work alongside him on organizational programs. What impressed me most during that time was his foresight, his commitment to development, and his ability to connect effortlessly with ordinary party workers.”

The former President noted that there was a distinct clarity and firmness in his views regarding governance and development. “I witnessed a unique blend of organizational acumen and visionary thinking in him,” he said. He further remarked, “My political journey began with the BJP. There was a reason for this: the party embodies the principle of ‘Nation First.’ Here, the emphasis is placed on the inclusive development of the country, rising above social ills such as dynastic politics, nepotism, casteism, and regionalism.”

The book also sheds light on the values, experiences, and circumstances that shaped his journey and his commitment to public service. Ahead of the book’s launch, PM Modi wrote on the social media platform ‘X’ on Tuesday, “This is the autobiography of former President Ram Nath Kovind. The book chronicles his inspiring life and his efforts dedicated to serving society.”

It is worth noting that Ram Nath Kovind served as the President of India from 2017 to 2022. Prior to assuming the presidency, he served as the Governor of Bihar (2015–2017) and as a Rajya Sabha member representing Uttar Pradesh for two consecutive terms. He was the first person from Uttar Pradesh and the BJP to hold the country’s highest constitutional office. Ram Nath Kovind was born on October 1, 1945, into a Koli family in Paraunkh village, located in the Kanpur Dehat district of Uttar Pradesh. He joined the BJP in 1991 and subsequently served as the head of the party’s Dalit Morcha and as the president of the Akhil Bharatiya Koli Samaj between 1998 and 2002.
