Jan Aadhaar on DigiLocker: 7.5 Crore Rajasthan Residents Can Access Jan Aadhaar Family ID on DigiLocker

Date:

Rajasthan: Approximately 7.5 crore residents of Rajasthan can now access their Jan Aadhaar (family ID) on DigiLocker. Under the ‘Digital India’ program, India’s leading digital document wallet has integrated this credential—issued by the Rajasthan government—into its platform, enabling citizens to instantly retrieve and share it whenever needed.

This integration works both ways. Citizens can bring their existing Jan Aadhaar (family ID) into DigiLocker, and—since DigiLocker is also connected to Jan Aadhaar as a requesting entity—they can digitally enroll for a new family ID and provide their consent directly from within the app.

Citizens can access their Jan Aadhaar (Family ID) on DigiLocker in four easy steps:

1. Open the DigiLocker app or visit digilocker.gov.in and sign in.

2. Search for “Jan Aadhaar” under the Rajasthan State Government services.

3. Enter the required details and provide your consent.

4. Retrieve the document – it will be instantly saved to your DigiLocker account.

Jan Aadhaar is a key household identity document in Rajasthan, widely used to avail government benefits and welfare schemes. Citizens can access and share it digitally via DigiLocker whenever needed, thereby reducing reliance on physical cards and paperwork.

On DigiLocker, various services can be easily availed using the Jan Aadhaar (Family ID), such as healthcare benefits under the Chiranjeevi Yojana, Public Distribution System (PDS) benefits, student scholarships, and other welfare schemes linked to the Jan Aadhaar ecosystem. (PIB)
