The Rajasthan government has directed officials to ensure continuous supply of LPG cylinders to Annapurna Rasoi centres across the state so that beneficiaries do not face any disruption in accessing affordable meals.
A review meeting regarding the Shri Annapurna Rasoi Yojana was held in Jaipur on Thursday under the chairmanship of Ravi Jain.
The meeting was conducted following directions from Bhajanlal Sharma to ensure smooth operation of the welfare scheme across the state.
LPG Supply to Be Ensured at 1,071 Annapurna Rasoi Centres
During the meeting, officials were instructed to ensure regular and adequate availability of LPG cylinders at nearly 1,071 Annapurna Rasoi centres operating across Rajasthan.
Ravi Jain emphasized that the gas supply system and overall operations of these kitchens must be closely monitored, ensuring that people visiting the centres do not face any difficulty in getting meals.
District Collectors Asked to Monitor Suppliers
The governance secretary also directed district collectors to regularly review the performance of LPG suppliers responsible for providing cylinders to Annapurna Rasoi centres in their respective districts.
Officials were asked to ensure that sufficient cylinders reach the kitchens on time so that the meal service continues without interruption.
The government also clarified that only domestic LPG cylinders will be used under the scheme, avoiding any confusion in the supply process.
Annapurna Rasoi Scheme Provides Affordable Meals
Ravi Jain said the Annapurna Rasoi Yojana is an important public welfare initiative of the state government, aimed at providing quality meals at subsidised rates to the needy and the general public.
The scheme plays a crucial role in ensuring food security and affordable nutrition for economically weaker sections.
Citizens Can File Complaints via Helpline
The government has also urged citizens to report any service disruption. If food is not available at any Annapurna Rasoi centre, people can register complaints through the Rajasthan Sampark Portal by calling the helpline number 181.
Authorities said regular monitoring and quick grievance redressal will help maintain smooth functioning of the scheme across the state.
