Kanpur: In a major push to strengthen the MSME sector, an MSME Leadership Conclave was organized in Kanpur on Friday, bringing together entrepreneurs, industry experts, and government officials. Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana attended the event and assured entrepreneurs of full government support.
Officials from the MSME department announced that the government will now provide subsidies of up to ₹50 lakh to support industrial units. The entire subsidy process will be conducted online to ensure transparency and ease of access for unit owners.
Online Subsidy Process to Benefit Entrepreneurs
Additional Commissioner (Industry) Rajkamal Yadav stated that MSME unit owners often face multiple operational challenges, and the department is committed to resolving them. He emphasized that the government’s responsibility extends to helping entrepreneurs expand market reach and improve product competitiveness.
“The goal is to take their products to global markets and enhance productivity,” he said.
Boost to Industrial Development in Uttar Pradesh
Addressing the conclave, Satish Mahana said that under the Yogi government, all issues faced by entrepreneurs will be addressed. He added that new industrial areas will be established across the state to promote business expansion and strengthen economic growth.
The initiative aims to make entrepreneurs financially stronger and encourage the expansion of MSME activities across Uttar Pradesh.
Target to Double Kanpur’s Exports to ₹20,000 Crore
Umang Agarwal, General Secretary of the Federation of Indian Textile Entrepreneurs Association (FITEA), said that over 30 MSME-related policies have already been implemented in Kanpur.
He highlighted the department’s goal to increase Kanpur’s export turnover from ₹10,000 crore to ₹20,000 crore over the next three years.
The conclave, organized for the first time by the Indo-American Chambers of Commerce, provided entrepreneurs with key insights on government schemes, export opportunities, and industrial growth strategies.
Entrepreneurs from Kanpur, Lucknow, Noida, and other cities participated in the event, reflecting growing interest in MSME expansion and policy support in the state.
