Rajasthan Police Prepares to Implement New Criminal Laws, Says DGP Utkal Ranjan Sahoo

Jaipur: Rajasthan’s Director General of Police (DGP), Utkal Ranjan Sahoo, has announced the readiness of the Rajasthan Police to implement three new criminal laws, replacing archaic British-era statutes. The DGP emphasized the significance of these legislative reforms and outlined the preparedness of the police force to uphold justice effectively across the state.

Speaking on the introduction of the new criminal laws, DGP Utkal Ranjan Sahoo stated, “Three British-era laws have been replaced with modern statutes designed to deliver justice rather than merely impose punishment. Rajasthan Police has conducted comprehensive training sessions at all levels to equip its personnel with the necessary knowledge and skills.”

The DGP highlighted the proactive measures taken by Rajasthan Police to ensure seamless implementation of the new laws. “We have organized timely workshops and training programs to familiarize our officers with the intricacies of the new legal framework. This preparation underscores our commitment to upholding the rule of law and protecting the rights of citizens,” he added.
