PM Narendra Modi to Visit Ajmer on February 28, Launch Projects Worth ₹16,680 Crore

Ajmer, Rajasthan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ajmer on February 28, 2026, where he is scheduled to launch, inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹16,680 crore.

The programme, set to begin around 11:30 AM, will include a public address by the Prime Minister. The projects span key sectors such as urban development, drinking water supply, roads, irrigation, energy, and industrial infrastructure.


Nationwide HPV Vaccination Drive for Girls Aged 14

In a major public health initiative, PM Modi will launch a nationwide HPV vaccination campaign for 14-year-old girls.

The move aims to strengthen preventive healthcare and promote women’s welfare by preventing cervical cancer, one of the leading cancer-related health challenges among women in India.


Major Highway and Expressway Projects to Boost Connectivity

To enhance road connectivity in Rajasthan, the Prime Minister will inaugurate several key national highway projects, including:

  • Bandikui–Jaipur 4-lane Greenfield Expressway
  • Package 7 of the 6-lane access-controlled Amritsar–Jamnagar Economic Corridor
  • Package 14 of the 8-lane carriageway under the Delhi–Vadodara Access-Controlled Greenfield Expressway

Additionally, foundation stones will be laid for:

  • A 4-lane elevated road in Jodhpur
  • The Malbamori–Mangrol–Baran State Highway project in Baran district

These infrastructure upgrades are expected to improve logistics, reduce travel time, and stimulate regional economic growth.


Strengthening Drinking Water and Power Infrastructure

To ensure safe and clean drinking water, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for:

  • Four packages under the Nonera Major Drinking Water Project
  • Five packages under the Parwan Akawad Major Drinking Water Project

In the energy sector, transmission systems for evacuation of power from renewable energy zones will be inaugurated. Foundation stones will also be laid for five 220 kV and two 400 kV grid substations, enhancing Rajasthan’s power infrastructure.


Over 21,800 Appointment Letters to Be Distributed

As part of efforts to boost employment, PM Modi will distribute more than 21,800 appointment letters to newly recruited youth across various state government departments and organizations.


The Ajmer visit is being seen as a significant push for Rajasthan’s infrastructure growth, healthcare advancement, and employment generation, aligning with the broader vision of accelerating development across the state.
