Rajasthan Deputy CM Diya Kumari Highlights ‘Concert Tourism’ Initiative at IIFA Awards

Date:

Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari has announced a new initiative to boost tourism in India through ‘concert tourism.’ Speaking at the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA), she emphasized the importance of hosting large-scale entertainment events to attract more visitors to the state and beyond.

“We have come up with the concept of concert tourism to promote tourism in India,” Kumari said. “We will try to organize as many such events as possible so that tourism can be promoted.”

She also revealed that as part of this effort, seven artists recently visited different districts in Rajasthan to create promotional videos showcasing the state’s rich cultural heritage. “Yesterday, seven artists went to different districts and made videos there; we are going to promote that too,” she added.

Rajasthan, known for its historical forts, palaces, and vibrant festivals, has been a key destination for domestic and international travelers. With this initiative, the state aims to integrate entertainment with tourism, attracting a wider audience and boosting the local economy.

The government’s focus on leveraging Bollywood and music events aligns with its broader strategy to make Rajasthan a premier destination for cultural tourism. With the IIFA Awards bringing global attention to the state, officials hope this momentum will further enhance Rajasthan’s appeal as a tourism hub.
