Rajasthan’s Education Minister Takes Firm Stand Against Religious Conversion in Schools

Date:

JODHPUR – Madan Dilawar, Rajasthan’s Minister of Education and Panchayati Raj, has made a strong statement on the issue of religious conversion and love jihad in schools. He has categorically stated that schools will not be allowed to become hubs for religious conversion and love jihad.

Dilawar, who was en route from Jaipur to Balotra, stopped over in Jodhpur for the night. Before leaving for Balotra the next morning, he held a discussion with the media at the Circuit House. During this interaction, he reiterated his stance against religious conversion in schools.

In addition to his stand on religious conversion, Dilawar also mentioned that instructions have been issued for all schools in Rajasthan to conduct Surya Namaskar for 10 minutes daily. This move is seen as part of a broader initiative to promote cultural values and physical fitness among students.

The Minister also highlighted a recent incident that occurred in a school in the Khajuri Odpur village of Kota district. According to Dilawar, action has been taken against three teachers who allegedly wrote ‘Muslim’ in the religion column of a Hindu girl’s record. He stated that such practices, along with the forced teaching of Namaz, are part of a conspiracy to convert students, and he assured that such activities will not be tolerated.

Dilawar’s statements have drawn attention to the ongoing debate about religious activities in schools. As the Minister of Education, his words carry significant weight, and it remains to be seen how these issues will be addressed.
