ERCP Project: A Promise Kept, Says CM Bhajan Lal Sharma

Date:

ALWAR, INDIA – Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, during his Abhar Yatra on Saturday, claimed that the BJP government has fulfilled its promise on the ERCP (Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project) while accusing the previous Congress government of merely playing politics.

Addressing public meetings in Barodamev of Alwar, Nagar, and Deeg of Bharatpur, Sharma highlighted that the ERCP project was initially planned in 2016. However, it was stalled by the Congress government. “We kept our promise on ERCP, Congress only did politics,” said Sharma.

The BJP government, according to Sharma, implemented the project within a month of coming into power. The ERCP project is expected to provide water to Jaisamand Dam, Ghat Pickup Weir, and Dhamren Dam in Alwar district.

Sharma further added that during this tenure, 21 districts of the state, including Alwar, will benefit from the project. It will facilitate irrigation and ensure that 126 dams are filled. “This project is not just about providing water. It’s about fulfilling promises and ensuring the prosperity of our people,” Sharma concluded.
