Rajasthan: In Jaipur, 50 students from Rajasthan have been selected for the sixth phase of Yuva Sangam’s student exchange program. Under this program, these students will travel to Karnataka for eight days, where they will gain educational and cultural experience. This program is part of the central government’s “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” campaign, which aims to promote unity and understanding of different cultures among the country’s youth.
Officials said the selected students come from different schools and colleges across Rajasthan and have varied backgrounds. The students were chosen through a proper selection process, where they were shortlisted based on their applications and eligibility. The goal is to include students from different sections of society so that the exchange programme is diverse and includes everyone.
During their trip to Karnataka, the students will take part in many activities to learn more about the state. They will visit schools and colleges, meet local students, join cultural events, and learn about Karnataka’s traditions and culture. They will also understand how the state has developed, how tourism works there, and how the government system functions.
Officials said Yuva Sangam helps students experience India’s cultural diversity beyond textbooks. By visiting other states, they learn how different regions live and develop socially, culturally, and economically. The programme runs in phases across India, where students travel to partner states, interact with people, and learn from their schools and communities.
Officials said these exchange programmes help students improve skills like communication, teamwork, and adaptability, and also help them understand different cultures. They also bring young people from across India closer and promote national unity. After completing the Karnataka tour, the Rajasthan students will return and share their experiences through presentations and reports. These activities are expected to benefit other students in their institutions by providing insights into different cultures and development practices.
Education officials said the programme also encourages youth participation in nation-building by broadening their awareness of India’s diversity and shared identity. They added that exposure visits like Yuva Sangam help students become more confident, informed, and socially aware citizens.
The Rajasthan batch is scheduled to begin their journey as per the official programme timeline, and preparations for the visit are currently underway.
