Rajasthan Dy CM Calls Jhalawar School Roof Collapse ‘Tragic’, Announces Safety Measures

Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Dr Prem Chand Bairwa has called the recent school roof collapse in Jhalawar “extremely tragic” and assured that the government is taking immediate steps to ensure accountability and prevent future occurrences.

Speaking to the media, Dr Bairwa said, “The Chief Minister has taken full stock of the situation. Our Education Minister, MP, and former CM Vasundhara Raje also visited the site. The cause will be investigated, and action will be taken.”

In response to the incident, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has ordered an increase in the school building maintenance fund from 15% to 20%. “We are conducting a complete survey to assess the safety of educational infrastructure across the state,” Dr Bairwa added.

The tragic event has raised concerns over the condition of school buildings, prompting the government to take swift corrective measures to protect students and staff in government-run institutions.
