Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal Comments on Haryana Poll Results

Date:

In response to the recent Haryana poll results, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal addressed the media in Bikaner, emphasizing the significance of development and governance as key factors in the elections. “Development and good governance was one agenda. Another issue was jobs. We found that during Hooda ji’s tenure, there was no employment without ‘bina kharchi, bina parchi,'” he stated, highlighting concerns over past governance in the state.

Meghwal pointed out that Haryana has not seen a government repeated thrice since its formation, suggesting a shift in voter sentiment. He criticized the Congress party for what he termed a tendency to level allegations against central institutions, saying, “It has become Congress’ nature to level allegations on Central institutions.”

He referenced Rahul Gandhi’s electoral victories in the past, questioning the consistency of the Congress narrative regarding electronic voting machines (EVMs). “Rahul Gandhi won from two different Lok Sabha seats; what happened to EVMs then? How did they win in J&K?” Meghwal asked, asserting that such allegations are becoming a habit for the opposition.

Concluding his remarks, he stated, “The public has given a befitting reply to Congress,” underscoring the government’s perspective on the electoral outcome as a reflection of public sentiment and confidence in their policies.
