PM Modi Commemorates Supreme Court’s 75 Years, Highlights Its Role in Upholding Democracy and Truth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has celebrated the Supreme Court of India’s 75-year legacy, emphasizing its critical role in upholding democratic values and constitutional principles. Addressing the National Conference of District Judiciary, Modi praised the Supreme Court for its unwavering commitment to justice and its profound impact on India’s legal and democratic systems.

In his speech, PM Modi reflected on the Supreme Court’s distinguished history, highlighting its essential role in preserving the rule of law and reinforcing constitutional values. He commended the Court for maintaining public confidence and ensuring that justice remains a cornerstone of Indian democracy.

“The Supreme Court’s 75 years symbolize a deep-seated dedication to our constitutional values and democratic principles,” Modi remarked. He noted that the Court’s steadfast adherence to these principles has played a pivotal role in upholding the integrity of the judicial system and safeguarding the rights of citizens.

Modi also connected the Supreme Court’s work to the revered principle of “Satyameva Jayate” (Truth Alone Triumphs), a central tenet of Indian ethos. He explained that this principle, reflecting the belief in the ultimate triumph of truth and justice, is embodied in the Supreme Court’s mission to deliver impartial and fair rulings.

“The principle of ‘Satyameva Jayate’ is not just a motto but a guiding force in our judicial system,” Modi said. “The Supreme Court’s unwavering commitment to this principle reinforces our collective belief in the power of truth and justice.”

The National Conference of District Judiciary provided a forum for recognizing the Supreme Court’s contributions and discussing its future role. Modi’s address celebrated the Court’s historical achievements while affirming its ongoing importance in sustaining democratic values and legal integrity.
