Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal Responds to Controversial Statement.

Date:

In a recent turn of events, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has spoken out against a statement made by political activist Sudheendra Kulkarni, which was quoted and tweeted by Congress leader Sam Pitroda. The statement in question suggested that “Nehru contributed more to the Constitution and not Ambedkar.”

Meghwal has publicly condemned this statement, expressing his disapproval and challenging the Congress party’s stance on the matter. “We condemn this statement by Sam Pitroda and we want to ask Congress that they stand by the comment of Sam Pitroda,” he said.

Meghwal further emphasized the significant role that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar played in the creation of the Indian Constitution. “The whole nation knows that Ambedkar played a major role in the making of the Constitution,” he added.

This incident has reignited the ongoing debate about the contributions of various leaders to the Indian Constitution. While Nehru, as the first Prime Minister of India, undoubtedly played a crucial role in shaping the nation, it is also universally acknowledged that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, as the Chairman of the Drafting Committee, was instrumental in framing the Constitution.

Meghwal’s comments serve as a reminder of the need to acknowledge the contributions of all leaders in the making of the Constitution. It is a call for a balanced perspective that recognizes the roles of both Nehru and Ambedkar, without diminishing the importance of either.

As the debate continues, it is clear that the contributions of these leaders to the Constitution and to the nation as a whole will remain a topic of discussion and analysis in the public sphere.
