The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a special statewide campaign to prepare a comprehensive Farmer Registry, aiming to ensure farmers receive benefits of government schemes in a transparent and hassle-free manner.
Camps at Gram Sachivalayas Across the State
Under the campaign:
- Camps are being organised at every Gram Sachivalaya
- The drive will continue till April 15
- Farmers can complete registration on the spot
So far, over 1.72 crore farmers have been linked to the registry under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, but a large number are still yet to be covered.
CM Yogi Directs Mission Mode Implementation
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to:
- Work in mission mode
- Ensure 100% coverage of eligible farmers
He emphasized the role of:
- Gram Pradhans
- Panchayat Sachivs
- Lekhpals
in identifying and registering all eligible beneficiaries.
On-the-Spot Registration and Awareness
Officials have been instructed to:
- Inform farmers about required documents
- Complete registration during the camps itself
- Address any discrepancies immediately
Aim: Transparent and Efficient Benefit Delivery
The initiative focuses on:
- Creating an accurate digital database of farmers
- Eliminating errors and duplication
- Ensuring timely financial assistance and scheme benefits

The Farmer Registry is expected to:
- Simplify access to multiple schemes through a single platform
- Strengthen transparency in subsidy and benefit distribution
- Improve overall efficiency in agricultural governance
