Jaipur, India — As the festive season approaches with Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath on the horizon, Indian Railways is gearing up to enhance travel options for passengers. The North Western Railway (NWR) has officially announced the launch of two special long-distance trains connecting key destinations in Rajasthan, with a complete schedule now available.
The special trains include the Pune-Bhagat Ki Kothi (Jodhpur)-Pune and Pune-Dhehar Ka Balaji (Jaipur)-Pune weekly services. Currently, these are the only two services announced, but further additions for other cities are anticipated in the coming weeks.
Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer for NWR, provided details on the Pune-Bhagat Ki Kothi service, which will operate four trips. Train number 01409 is set to run on October 28 and November 4, departing Pune at 7:30 PM and arriving at Bhagat Ki Kothi the following evening at 5:30 PM.
The return service, train number 01410, will depart from Bhagat Ki Kothi at 10:00 PM on October 29 and November 5, reaching Pune the next night at 11:30 PM. This train will stop at multiple stations, including Lonavala, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Arasikere, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad, Mahesana, Abu Road, Falna, Marwad Junction, and Pali Marwad. It will consist of 18 coaches, featuring 2 Third AC, 8 Second Class Sleeper, 6 General Class, and 2 Guard coaches.
The second special train, Pune-Dhehar Ka Balaji (Jaipur)-Pune, will also operate two round trips. Train number 01433 will run on October 30 and November 6, leaving Pune at 9:45 AM and arriving at Dhehar Ka Balaji the next day at 6:55 AM.
For the return journey, train number 01434 will depart from Dhehar Ka Balaji at 10:30 AM on October 31 and November 7, arriving in Pune the following morning at 9:30 AM. This train will also make several stops, including Lonavala, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Arasikere, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Durgapura, and Jaipur. The coach configuration will include 1 First AC, 1 Second AC, 2 Third AC, 5 Sleeper, and 6 General Class coaches.
These festival special trains are expected to provide essential travel options for families and travelers during this busy season, ensuring that everyone can reach their destinations comfortably and conveniently.
