Jaipur: DPR Approved for Elevated Road Along Dravyavati River

The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has approved the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed elevated road along the Dravyavati River during a meeting of the Public Works Committee (PWC) held on Friday.

The JDA will spend ₹6 crore on preparing the DPR for the project, which is expected to strengthen Jaipur’s transport infrastructure.

₹16.67 Crore to Be Spent on Four Culverts

The committee also approved the construction of four culverts (small bridges) on the river at a cost of ₹16.67 crore.

These culverts will be built at the following locations:

  • Katewa Nagar
  • Behind New Atish Market
  • Near Devari STP (Sewage Treatment Plant)
  • Near RIICO STP

Officials said the culverts will improve connectivity and facilitate smoother movement across the river corridor.

Modern Sports Complex to Be Developed

The committee also approved ₹7.90 crore for the construction and development of a modern sports complex along the Dravyavati River.

The facility is expected to promote sports activities and provide recreational infrastructure for residents.

Land Planning Approved for Outdoor Stadium

In addition, the committee approved the land planning for a proposed outdoor stadium in the Jaisinghpura Khor area, which has been allocated to the Rajasthan State Sports Council.

Officials Directed to Complete Work on Time

During the meeting, Siddharth Mahajan instructed officials to ensure timely completion of the projects.

He said the implementation of these projects will significantly strengthen the city’s traffic management and overall infrastructure.

Other Development Works Approved

The committee also approved several other development works, including:

  • ₹6.09 crore for road construction in the remaining area of Lohamandi Scheme under Zone-6.
  • Permission to present preliminary land pooling schemes in Shivdaspura, Chandalai, and Barkheda villages.

Officials said these initiatives are part of broader efforts to improve urban infrastructure, connectivity, and planned development in Jaipur.
