PM Modi Praises India’s Youth Power, Shares Sanskrit Shloka on Confidence and Willpower

Date:

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the determination and confidence of India’s youth, stating that the country is successfully turning its dreams into reality because of their strong resolve.

In a message shared on social media platform X on Monday, PM Modi highlighted the unmatched commitment of young Indians.

“भारतवर्ष की युवाशक्ति का दृढ़ संकल्प अतुलनीय है। हमारे युवा साथी जो ठान लेते हैं, वो करके दिखाते हैं। यही वजह है कि आज हमारा देश अपने सपनों को साकार कर रहा है,” he wrote.

Sanskrit Subhashitam on Self-Confidence and Determination

Along with his message, the Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit shloka to underline the importance of self-confidence and willpower:

“न वा उ मां वृजने वारयन्ते न पर्वतासो यदहं मनस्ये।
मम स्वनात् कृधुकर्णो भयात एवेदनु द्यून्किरणः समेजात्।”

Meaning of the Shloka

The Sanskrit subhashitam emphasizes that the power of self-belief is profound. No obstacle, not even mountains, can block the path of someone with strong determination. It suggests that with unwavering willpower, an individual can shine brighter than the sun and overcome even the greatest challenges.

Linking Ancient Wisdom with Modern Governance

Since December 2025, PM Modi has been sharing Sanskrit subhashitas regularly to connect India’s timeless civilizational wisdom with contemporary governance and public dialogue. Through his speeches, Mann Ki Baat broadcasts, and social media posts, he uses ancient verses to explain modern priorities such as development, resilience, ethical leadership, gender justice, and national responsibility.

On December 8, he shared the first subhashitam in this series, highlighting the enduring relevance of Sanskrit in India’s cultural and spiritual life.

Youth as the Driving Force of Developed India

The Prime Minister reiterated that India’s young population is the backbone of the nation’s growth story. He emphasized that confidence, clarity of vision, and strong willpower are key drivers behind India’s rapid progress across sectors.

With India aiming to become a developed nation by 2047, PM Modi’s message underscores the crucial role of youth empowerment, innovation, and determination in shaping the country’s future.
