The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, has integrated the ‘Pharma Jan Samadhan Portal’ with the ‘Pharma Sahi Daam Portal’. This integration brings information on medicine prices and grievance redressal services onto a single digital platform, enabling citizens to easily access both services via the app and the portal.
Through the Pharma Sahi Daam platform, customers can quickly view government-approved medicine prices, while Pharma Jan Samadhan helps in reporting and resolving grievances related to medicine prices. Both were already integrated within a mobile app, but they had separate web portals.
This new unified platform enhances transparency, accountability, public participation, and access to affordable medicines; the integrated portal has become operational with immediate effect, and the general public can avail themselves of both services through the ‘Pharma Sahi Daam’ unified interface.
As an independent regulator of drug prices, the NPPA is entrusted with the responsibility of fixing and revising drug prices in accordance with the provisions of the ‘Drugs (Prices Control) Order (DPCO), 2013, monitoring drug availability and compliance with regulations, and advising on pharmaceutical policies.
