Date:

Jaipur, April 2026: A three-month-long road safety awareness campaign has been launched in Jaipur to improve public awareness and reduce road accidents across the district.

Campaign Announced by District Administration

The initiative was announced by District Collector Sandesh Nayak during a meeting of the district road safety committee. The campaign will run for three months starting April 2026.

Focus on Public Awareness and Behaviour Change

The campaign aims to promote safe driving habits and adherence to traffic rules through sustained outreach efforts. Key focus areas include:

  • Use of helmets and seatbelts
  • Avoiding over-speeding and reckless driving
  • Following traffic signals and lane discipline

Authorities believe that improving awareness is crucial to reducing accident rates.

Multi-Agency Participation

The campaign will involve coordinated efforts from:

  • Traffic police
  • Transport department
  • Local प्रशासन and civic bodies

These agencies will work together to conduct awareness drives, outreach programmes, and public engagement activities.

Need for Continuous Awareness Efforts

Part of Broader Road Safety Strategy

The initiative aligns with ongoing efforts by the Rajasthan government to:

  • Reduce road accident fatalities
  • Strengthen enforcement of traffic rules
  • Promote responsible road usage

Aim: Safer Roads for All

The three-month campaign is expected to play a key role in changing public behaviour and improving road safety standards in Jaipur.
