Tokyo/Yamanashi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath secured a major breakthrough during his Japan visit as the UP government signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Japan’s Yamanashi Prefecture on Green Hydrogen technology.

The agreement will facilitate advanced training for Indian students in Japan and promote the adoption of green hydrogen solutions in Uttar Pradesh’s industry, public transport and energy sectors.

Green Hydrogen Collaboration to Boost Clean Energy

The MoU focuses on technology transfer, skill development and implementation of green hydrogen solutions in Uttar Pradesh. Students from higher technical institutions in UP will receive specialized training in Japan to gain expertise in hydrogen-based clean energy systems.

Officials said the initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Net Zero emissions vision and strengthens India–Japan cooperation in sustainable energy.
