Rajasthan Deputy CM Diya Kumari Finalises State Budget Ahead of Presentation

Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and State Finance Minister Diya Kumari has finalised the State Budget for the financial year 2026–27, which is scheduled to be presented in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on Tuesday.

The finalisation of the budget took place in the presence of senior finance department officials, reflecting the culmination of extensive consultations and administrative preparations. Principal Secretary (Finance) Vaibhav Galaria, Secretary Finance (Expenditure) Tina Soni, Secretary Finance (Budget) Rajan Vishal, Secretary Finance (Revenue) Kumarpal Gautam, and Director Finance (Budget) Brijesh Kishore Sharma were present during the process.

Officials indicated that the budget has been prepared keeping in view the state’s development priorities, fiscal discipline, and welfare commitments. The upcoming financial blueprint is expected to outline allocations across key sectors including infrastructure, social welfare, education, healthcare, and rural development, while also addressing revenue management and expenditure planning.

As Finance Minister, Diya Kumari has overseen the budget formulation process with an emphasis on balanced growth and effective utilisation of resources. The presentation of the budget will mark an important moment for the state government, setting the policy and spending direction for the year ahead.

The State Budget is closely watched by legislators, industry stakeholders, and the public, as it reflects the government’s economic priorities and governance approach. Following its presentation in the Assembly, the budget proposals are expected to be debated and examined in detail.
