Team India delivered an outstanding performance at the Global Skills Challenge (GSC) Australia 2026, winning five medals—3 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze. Approximately 600 participants from 16 WorldSkills member nations took part in the competition, held from June 23 to 29, 2026. This event proved to be a crucial milestone ahead of the 48th WorldSkills Competition scheduled to take place in Shanghai later this year.

Bronze medal in Painting and Decorating : Muskan (Haryana)
Gold medal in Additive Manufacturing (Silver Japan) : Pavan Bhadravati Suresha (Karnataka)
Gold medal in Cloud Computing (Silver Japan; Bronze Singapore) : Mausam Kumar Giri (Bihar)
Gold medal in Health and Social Care (Silver Australia) : Vishnupriya Sunil (Delhi)
Silver medal in 3D Digital Game Art : Harsh Ramesh Pawar (Maharashtra)

The 30-member Indian contingent, comprising 15 competitors and 15 experts, participated in 15 skill categories at the ‘Global Skills Challenge’. This event provided them with valuable international experience and further strengthened Team India’s preparations for the 48th ‘WorldSkills Competition’ scheduled to be held in Shanghai later this year.
India participated in a wide range of skill areas, including 3D Digital Game Art, Additive Manufacturing, Automobile Technology, Beauty Therapy, Bricklaying, Cloud Computing, Floristry, Graphic Design Technology, Hairdressing, Health and Social Care, Industrial Mechanics, Painting and Decorating, Restaurant Service, Wall and Floor Tiling, and Web Technologies. The success achieved at the Global Skills Challenge 2026 inspires young Indians to excel in their skills while advancing the ‘Skill India Mission’s’ vision of building a future-ready workforce.
