India secured another medal at the ongoing ISSF Junior World Championship in Suhl, Germany. On Wednesday, Vanshika Chaudhary and Shiva Narwal won the silver medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team junior event. With this victory, India’s total medal count has reached 16—comprising five gold, four silver, and seven bronze medals—and the country remains at the top of the championship standings.
Earlier in the day, Shiva Narwal won the silver medal in the men’s junior 10m air pistol event, while Yug Pratap Singh Rathore secured the bronze, earning India two medals in the event. India also won the silver medal in the men’s junior 10m air pistol team event through the trio of Shiva Narwal, Sandeep Bishnoi, and Chirag Sharma.
The standout performance of the day came from Pritam Kendra, who secured India’s fifth gold medal of the competition by winning the men’s junior 10m air rifle event. India’s medal tally was further boosted by a bronze medal in the women’s junior 25m pistol team event, where Anjali Mahendra Bhagwat, Parisha Gupta, and Nithila Ivy Darling Praveen Christopher made it to the podium.
