The Union Ministry of MSME organized the first BRICS MSME Forum in Agra on June 19. The event was attended by government officials, policymakers, industry leaders, and private sector stakeholders from BRICS member and partner nations. The forum provided a platform to discuss strategies for strengthening the MSME ecosystem, fostering sustainable growth, and enhancing the global competitiveness of small businesses across BRICS countries.
The Uttar Pradesh government stated on Friday that the state is strengthening trade, technology, and investment ties with BRICS nations. During the 2025-26 fiscal year, the state’s total exports to BRICS member and partner countries exceeded $5.36 billion. Addressing the BRICS MSME Forum held in Agra, UP MSME Minister Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary said that the state is exporting machinery, textiles, leather, carpets, and precious stones to various countries.
According to a statement by the state government, exports worth approximately US$ 3.94 billion were made to BRICS member nations, while exports valued at around US$ 1.43 billion were sent to partner countries.
