Railway Board Regularizes 5 Special Passenger Trains in Rajasthan, Passengers to Benefit from Lower Fares

Date:

Sri Ganganagar: In a major relief for rail passengers, the Railway Board has decided to regularize five special passenger trains operating in the region. The decision was taken due to high occupancy and increasing passenger demand on these routes.

With this move, the trains will now operate as regular passenger services instead of special trains, ensuring lower fares and permanent operations for daily commuters.

Notification Issued by Railway Authorities

Former member of the Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee, Bhim Sharma, said that Director (Coaching) Sanjay R. Neelam has issued a notification regarding the regularization of these trains.

After the official notification from the North Western Railway headquarters, new train numbers and revised passenger fares will come into effect.

Earlier, passengers had to pay higher fares as the trains were operating under special category. With their conversion into regular passenger trains, standard passenger fares will now apply, providing relief to daily travelers.

Railway officials also clarified that once regularized, these services cannot be discontinued without the approval of the Railway Board.
