Jaipur: Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma Commends Union Budget 2026 for Inclusive Growth and Sectoral Boosts

Date:

Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Monday expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the Union Budget 2026-27, highlighting its focus on inclusive development and sector-specific incentives.

Addressing the budget, Sharma said, “It is a budget for the youth, women, farmers, the underprivileged, the poor, and the common man.” He welcomed the customs duty exemption on 17 cancer medicines, describing it as a significant step towards affordable healthcare.

The CM noted that the Budget signals a new direction for both small and large industries, producers, artisans, and workers by enhancing their access to global markets. He pointed out the increased allocation for the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (VB-G Ram scheme), which has risen from ₹86,000 crore to ₹95,692 crore, ensuring additional funds for Rajasthan’s development.

Sharma also highlighted Rajasthan’s prospective gains from the government’s focus on emerging sectors. He mentioned that the state will benefit from incentives given to the data center and cloud services industries, which are rapidly growing and pivotal to digital transformation.

Further, the CM drew attention to announcements regarding mega textile parks and 200 industrial clusters, underscoring their potential to boost employment and industrial growth in Rajasthan. He also acknowledged the positive impact the budget’s emphasis on solar energy and mining sectors would have on the state’s economy.

Overall, Bhajanlal Sharma’s remarks reflect optimism about the Union Budget 2026’s capacity to drive Rajasthan’s socio-economic progress through targeted support and sectoral reforms, aligning with the broader national vision of growth and inclusivity.
