In a shining example of hands-on leadership, Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw personally visited key railway stations over four consecutive days. On the 18th, he inspected New Delhi Railway Station, followed by a visit to Anand Vihar Terminal on the 19th. The next day, he was at the Railway Board’s War Room, reviewing the 24×7 monitoring system that ensures smoother operations and better passenger services. On the 21st morning, he once again reached the War Room to take an on-ground review of real-time coordination, and later in the day, he visited New Delhi Station to take direct feedback from passengers. Each visit was not just about inspection, but about listening — to staff, to passengers, and to the ground realities. By interacting directly with passengers, Vaishnaw ji set an example of what true public service looks like: leadership rooted in empathy, accountability, and visible action. The arrangements and planning done over the past year have now shown their outcome. The War Room and permanent holding areas were his own brainchild — innovative steps designed to ensure real-time management and passenger comfort during peak travel periods.
