PM Modi Departs for UK to Strengthen India–UK Strategic Ties

New Delhi — Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emplaned for London today for an official visit to the United Kingdom. During his visit, PM Modi is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, focusing on strengthening ties between the two nations.

The two leaders will discuss key aspects of the India–UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, reviewing progress made in areas such as trade, defense cooperation, technology, climate action, and people-to-people exchanges.

This high-level engagement marks PM Modi’s first official visit to the UK under PM Starmer’s leadership and is seen as a crucial step in advancing the proposed Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and deepening geopolitical cooperation.

Officials have indicated that discussions will also cover shared global concerns, including security, counter-terrorism, and innovation-led economic growth.
