Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Slams Congress Over Stance on Iran-Israel Conflict

Date:

Jaipur, Rajasthan — Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat criticized Congress and its leadership, particularly Sonia Gandhi, over what he described as an “irresponsible stance” on the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.

Shekhawat emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India’s foreign policy remains neutral, mature, and guided solely by national interest. He said, “India will not side with any one nation nor involve itself in a two-sided issue. We will act based on what is best for India.”

The minister underlined that India’s credibility on the global stage has significantly improved, with its voice being respected across international platforms. He credited this to India’s consistent and principled foreign policy approach, which avoids bias and promotes balanced diplomacy.

Taking aim at the Congress party, Shekhawat accused its leaders of attempting to politicize sensitive international matters, potentially harming India’s global image. He reiterated that India’s identity as a confident and independent global player has grown stronger under the current government.

This statement comes amid a heated political discourse over how India should respond to escalating global conflicts, with foreign policy becoming a key point of debate.
