Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, on Thursday, initiated the transfer of state-level social security pension funds into the accounts of beneficiaries in Jhunjhunu. This move sees an allocation of over Rs. 1,370 crores disbursed to more than 88 lakh pensioners across the state.
The government has increased the pension amount from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,150, a decision aimed at bolstering financial assistance to the needy. Chief Minister Sharma emphasized that further enhancements in pension schemes are anticipated in the near future.
Stressing the government’s commitment to societal welfare and inclusive growth, Chief Minister Sharma highlighted the role of social security pensions in providing economic support and integrating beneficiaries into the mainstream. He underscored that Rajasthan’s government has expanded the ambit of social security pension schemes while concurrently augmenting pension amounts.
“We are dedicated to uplifting all sections of society, including the elderly, widows, and persons with disabilities,” stated Chief Minister Sharma. He emphasized the simplicity and efficiency of the pension transfer process, which now occurs at the click of a button, ensuring timely financial aid reaches those in need.
The augmentation of social security pensions is part of Rajasthan’s broader agenda to enhance welfare measures and ensure comprehensive development across the state.
