PM Modi Condemns “RR Tax” Imposed by Telangana Congress in Public Rally

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a public rally in Telangana, drew attention to a striking juxtaposition between the blockbuster Telugu film “RRR” and what he termed as the “RR tax” imposed by the Telangana Congress, sparking a new debate on taxation policies in the state.

Commending the Telugu film industry for the phenomenal success of “RRR”, which has garnered widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally, PM Modi expressed concern over the alleged burden imposed by the so-called “RR tax” on the people of Telangana.

“RRR has brought glory to India on the global stage, but the RR tax is a stain on our nation,” Modi remarked, addressing the crowd. He went on to accuse the Telangana Congress of imposing this tax, asserting that industrialists and contractors in the state are being compelled to pay a portion of it “through the backdoor.”

The Prime Minister further alleged that a significant portion of the funds collected from the RR tax is being siphoned off to Delhi in the form of black money, a claim that, if substantiated, could have severe repercussions for the Telangana Congress.

The rally formed part of PM Modi’s campaign tour in the state, with his comments on the RR tax reigniting discussions on taxation policies and their impact on ordinary citizens and businesses in Telangana.

As of now, the Telangana Congress is yet to respond to PM Modi’s allegations, leaving the public awaiting clarification on the matter. With political tensions escalating in the state, the spotlight is firmly fixed on the issue of taxation and accountability within the Telangana Congress.
