Jaipur: The upcoming Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet 2026 is set to spotlight smart farming technologies, innovation, and startup-driven solutions, as the state positions itself as a hub for next-generation agriculture.
Scheduled to be held from May 23 to 25 in Jaipur, the three-day event will bring together thousands of farmers, agri-experts, policymakers, and startups from across India and abroad to explore new opportunities in the agriculture sector.
Smart farming takes centre stage
A key focus of the meet will be the promotion of smart and sustainable farming practices. Experts and policymakers are expected to highlight the adoption of advanced technologies such as precision agriculture, water-efficient irrigation systems, and scientific nutrient management.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has emphasized the importance of modern techniques in improving productivity and sustainability, urging farmers to adopt scientific methods and reduce excessive use of chemical fertilizers.
Water conservation is also expected to be a major theme, with the government encouraging technologies like sprinkler irrigation to maximize resource efficiency.
Startups and innovation in focus
The agritech meet will provide a major platform for startups and entrepreneurs working in agriculture and allied sectors. Dedicated startup camps, exhibitions, and B2B/B2G meetings are planned to connect innovators with investors, industry leaders, and government agencies.
Discussions will revolve around innovation, agri-business models, and the role of technology in transforming farming practices. Startups will showcase solutions in areas such as farm automation, supply chain optimization, agri-fintech, and value-added processing.
Large-scale participation expected
Officials said the event is expected to witness participation from tens of thousands of farmers and stakeholders, including progressive farmers, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), scientists, and industry representatives.
The meet will feature multiple components, including conferences, live demonstrations, rural marts, and capacity-building programs aimed at enhancing farmers’ knowledge and income opportunities.
Boost to investment and rural economy
The initiative is part of Rajasthan’s broader strategy to integrate agriculture with technology, innovation, and market access. By promoting startups and modern farming solutions, the government aims to boost farm incomes, encourage agri-based industries, and attract investments into the sector.
Officials believe that such platforms will not only modernize agriculture but also create new employment opportunities in rural areas through agri-entrepreneurship.
