PM Modi’s Rally in Mumbai: A Pledge to Eradicate Poverty

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a public rally held in Mumbai, made a powerful statement on poverty eradication, challenging the long-standing promises of the Congress party.

In his address, PM Modi highlighted the Congress party’s 60-year-old promise to eradicate poverty, a pledge that he believes has been left unfulfilled. He pointed out that in their speeches from the Red Fort, spanning 20-25 minutes, the Prime Ministers from the Congress party often spoke on poverty.

“They made poor people feel as if they were born to live in poverty,” said PM Modi, criticizing the Congress party’s approach towards poverty alleviation.

However, PM Modi presented a contrasting picture of his tenure. He claimed that in the span of 10 years, his government has successfully brought 25 crore people out of poverty. “What seemed impossible, became possible,” he stated, emphasizing the achievements of his government.

The Prime Minister’s speech was met with applause from the crowd, marking a significant moment in the ongoing political discourse on poverty eradication in India.

This event underscores the ongoing political debate on poverty eradication and the effectiveness of the policies implemented by different governments. As India continues to grapple with the challenge of poverty, the words of PM Modi offer a glimmer of hope for those living under the poverty line.

The rally ended on a hopeful note, with PM Modi reiterating his commitment to making India a poverty-free nation. His words have ignited a new conversation about poverty eradication, one that will undoubtedly continue in the days to come.
