Ranked 211th in the world, Divyanshi displayed remarkable composure and fighting spirit to defeat Chinese Taipei’s Yeh Yi-Tian, who is ranked 38th globally, in a thrilling five-game final. After losing the first game, Divyanshi made a strong comeback to register a memorable 3-2 (8-11, 11-8, 11-5, 7-11, 11-7) win and make her presence felt at the senior international level.

At just 15 years old, she is believed to be the second youngest player in the world to win a women’s singles title on the WTT feeder circuit, behind Japan’s talented Miwa Harimoto.

Divyanshi’s victory was the culmination of a remarkable week in Prishtina, where she displayed maturity beyond her years, defeating higher-ranked and more experienced opponents with fearless attacking play and unwavering confidence.

Adding to an already unforgettable campaign, Divyanshi also won the women’s doubles gold medal with fellow Indian teenager Cinderella Das. The talented Indian pair defeated Japan’s Sachi Aoki and Kokona Muramatsu in a thrilling final that kept the spectators on the edge of their seats.

After losing the first game, the Indians staged a remarkable comeback to win 3-2 (7-11, 14-12, 12-14, 11-8, 11-7). The match finished in just over half an hour. Their resilience under pressure, especially in the crucial final moments, highlighted the growing maturity of one of India’s most promising partnerships.

The win in Prishtina adds another chapter to the growing success story of the Divyanshi-Cinderella pair, who have already gained international recognition with strong performances on the WTT circuit this year.

For Indian table tennis, Divyanshi’s historic double gold medal win is a powerful sign of a bright future. Her impressive victory over a top-40 player, as well as the doubles title, demonstrates the depth of talent emerging from the country’s youth development system.
