Jaipur: Avinash Gehlot Highlights Rajasthan’s Economic Growth and Criticizes Religious Fanaticism in Bangladesh

Date:

Rajasthan Minister Avinash Gehlot has expressed optimism about the state’s economic future, while also commenting on recent developments in neighboring Bangladesh. Speaking to the media, Gehlot praised the state’s economic progress and affirmed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to further growth.

“Rajasthan’s economy today stands at approximately Rs 15 lakh crore. Prime Minister Modi has taken a resolution to double this figure, a vision that promises immense growth and prosperity for our state,” Gehlot stated, emphasizing the positive trajectory of Rajasthan’s economy.

Gehlot also noted Rajasthan’s prominent global standing, saying, “Rajasthan is in second position in the whole world in terms of progress.” He attributed this achievement to the government’s policies and commitment to development, adding that the state’s growth story is an inspiration for others.

Shifting focus to international issues, Gehlot voiced strong concerns over the situation in Bangladesh, particularly regarding recent attacks on Hindu saints and lawyers defending religious figures. “Any country, like Bangladesh, that runs on religious fanaticism is bound to destroy itself,” he remarked. “It is unfortunate to see the rising violence against Hindu saints and the lawyers who stand up for them. Such attacks reflect a disturbing trend that goes against the values of peace and harmony.”

Gehlot’s comments come amid escalating tensions in Bangladesh, where religious minorities, particularly Hindus, have faced increasing threats and attacks. The Minister’s statements highlight his firm stance on religious tolerance and his concern for the safety and well-being of minority communities in the region.

The remarks by Gehlot underline both the successes and challenges faced by the state and region, as Rajasthan continues to solidify its position as an economic powerhouse while addressing critical issues beyond its borders.
