Jaipur: Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore Critiques Previous Government’s District Formation

Date:

In a recent statement, Rajasthan Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore addressed the committee formed to review new districts established during the previous Congress-led government. He emphasized the need for practical implementation over mere announcements, stating, “It is very easy to weave a dream on paper. But thousands of crores of rupees are needed to turn that into reality.”

Rathore criticized the former government for creating what he termed a “khyali pulao”—a term that conveys the notion of unrealistic promises—especially in the lead-up to elections. He pointed out that while announcements were made with enthusiasm, they lacked the necessary systems and infrastructure to support them. “You make the announcements, but if there is no system to support it, then what is the use?” he questioned.

The minister assured that the newly formed committee would carefully assess the situation and make decisions aimed at benefiting the people of Rajasthan. “The decision will be for the happiness of Rajasthan; that is our resolve,” Rathore concluded, reaffirming the current government’s commitment to practical governance and development.

This review comes as part of ongoing efforts to ensure that new administrative divisions are not only well-planned but also effectively implemented, reflecting a commitment to the state’s progress and the welfare of its citizens.
