Rajasthan CM Holds Meeting Over Heatwave

Date:

JAIPUR – As the heatwave continues to grip the state, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma convened a high-level meeting with officials from various departments on Friday.

The meeting was held to discuss the ongoing heatwave conditions and the measures being taken to mitigate its impact on the residents of the state. The Chief Minister emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to ensure the well-being of the people during this challenging time.

“The heatwave is a serious concern, and we must take all necessary steps to protect our citizens,” said Sharma. “We are closely monitoring the situation and are committed to providing all possible assistance.”

The meeting was attended by officials from the Health, Water Resources, and Power departments, among others. They discussed a range of issues, including the availability of drinking water, power supply, and healthcare facilities.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to ensure adequate water supply in all areas, particularly in rural and remote regions. He also instructed the Power department to avoid any unscheduled power cuts during peak hours.

The Health department was asked to be prepared to handle any heat-related illnesses and to run awareness campaigns about the do’s and don’ts during a heatwave.

The state government is also considering declaring holidays for schools and advising people to stay indoors during the hottest part of the day.

As the state battles the heatwave, the government’s proactive measures are expected to provide much-needed relief to the people.
