Modi’s Report Card vs TMC’s Rate Card: A Tale of Two Governments

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a public meeting held here, drew a stark contrast between his government at the Centre and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in Bengal. He labeled his government as the “report card government” and the TMC’s as the “rate card government.”

“On one hand, there is Modi’s report card government at the Centre, on the other hand, there is TMC’s rate card government in Bengal,” the Prime Minister said. He accused the TMC of having a rate card for every job in Bengal, implying that bribery and corruption are rampant under its rule. “Pay money… get a job!” he added, summarizing the alleged state of affairs in Bengal.

The Prime Minister also took a swipe at the INDI Alliance, stating that it is being badly defeated in the ongoing elections. He predicted a grim future for the alliance, saying, “It will get ‘eliminated’ on June 4. The countdown for the disintegration of the INDI Alliance has begun!”

The Prime Minister’s remarks come at a time when the political atmosphere in the country is charged with the ongoing elections. His comments are likely to further intensify the political discourse in the days to come.

As the country awaits the results of the elections, the citizens of Bengal are left to ponder over the Prime Minister’s words and the implications of the “rate card” government. Whether the TMC responds to these allegations or chooses to remain silent, only time will tell. Meanwhile, the countdown for June 4 has begun, and the fate of the INDI Alliance hangs in the balance.
