PM Modi Commends CDRI’s Advancements at International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the esteemed gathering at the ‘International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure 2024: Investing Today for a More Resilient Tomorrow’ held at Bharat Mandapam, praised the commendable progress achieved by the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI).

“In recent years, the CDRI has made significant strides,” stated PM Modi. “Since its inception in 2019, it has transformed into a global coalition encompassing 39 countries and 7 organizations. This expansion speaks volumes about our collective commitment to resilience.”

Established in 2019, the CDRI has undergone substantial growth, now representing a global coalition comprising 39 member countries and 7 affiliated organizations. Its overarching aim is to champion the resilience of infrastructure, both new and existing, against climate and disaster risks, thereby fostering sustainable development.

Under the theme ‘Investing Today for a More Resilient Tomorrow’, the conference convened global leaders, experts, and stakeholders to exchange insights and best practices aimed at fortifying infrastructure resilience in the face of disasters.
