Tokyo/Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath secured major industrial investment commitments worth nearly ₹11,000 crore on the first day of his Japan visit, marking a significant boost to India-Japan economic ties.
Multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with leading Japanese and Indo-Japanese companies across diverse sectors, reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s position as an emerging global manufacturing hub.

The agreements were signed with major companies including:

These partnerships span sectors such as agricultural equipment manufacturing, industrial machinery, water and environmental infrastructure, automobiles, electronics, industrial printing and graphics, hospitality, and real estate.
Kubota to Boost Farm Mechanisation
Established in 1890 and headquartered in Osaka, Kubota Corporation is a global leader in agricultural and industrial machinery. The company manufactures tractors, harvesters, engines, construction equipment, and water infrastructure solutions such as pipes, pumps, and treatment systems.
Through its collaboration with Escorts Kubota Limited in India, Kubota aims to expand manufacturing capacity and strengthen farm mechanisation in Uttar Pradesh.
Focus on Automotive and Electronics Manufacturing
Minda Corporation, part of the Spark Minda Group, is a leading Indian automotive component manufacturer specialising in mechatronics, wiring harnesses, plastic interiors, sensors, and EV solutions.
Japan Aviation Electronics Industry (JAE) is known for advanced connectors and electronic interface solutions for automotive and aerospace sectors.
Nagase & Co., a diversified Japanese trading and technology firm, operates in chemicals, advanced materials, mobility solutions, and electronics. The collaboration is expected to accelerate growth in automotive electronics and advanced component manufacturing in Uttar Pradesh.
Hospitality and Industrial Expansion
Seiko Advance, known for high-performance screen printing inks and coating solutions, will expand its manufacturing footprint in India. Its products are widely used in automotive decals, industrial graphics, electronics panels, glass printing, and consumer appliances.
O&O Group has committed investments in hospitality and real estate projects, further diversifying Uttar Pradesh’s industrial ecosystem.
Strengthening India-Japan Industrial Cooperation
The MoUs signed on the first day of CM Yogi’s Japan visit are being viewed as a major step toward strengthening industrial cooperation between India and Japan. The investments are expected to enhance manufacturing capabilities, create employment opportunities, and contribute to Uttar Pradesh’s goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy.
