PM Modi’s Long-Term Vision Driving India’s Development Agenda: Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Friday underscored the long-term developmental vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the Central government has been pursuing a sustained and future-oriented approach to governance since 2014.

Speaking at the Central Budget 2026 Traders and Business Dialogue programme in Jaipur, Sharma said that Prime Minister Modi has continuously observed and guided the country’s transformation over the past decade. He noted that since assuming office in 2014, the Prime Minister has focused on improving the welfare of the poor, expanding development-centric schemes, strengthening industrial growth, and enhancing India’s standing on the global platform.

The Chief Minister highlighted that initiatives aimed at poverty alleviation, infrastructure expansion, financial inclusion, and industrial support have been implemented with a clear emphasis on long-term impact rather than short-term gains. According to Sharma, this approach has helped create a stable policy environment that benefits traders, entrepreneurs, and investors across sectors.

Drawing a comparison with previous administrations, Sharma remarked that while many governments functioned within five-year electoral cycles, the present leadership has adopted a broader vision spanning 25 to 35 years. He said such long-term planning is essential for addressing structural challenges and ensuring sustained economic growth in a rapidly evolving global environment.

Sharma further stated that the government’s policies are aligned with the goal of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047, marking the centenary of Independence. He added that this vision involves coordinated efforts in areas such as manufacturing, digital infrastructure, ease of doing business, and human capital development.

The Central Budget 2026 Traders and Business Dialogue served as a platform for interaction between government representatives and members of the business community. Discussions focused on budget priorities, economic reforms, and measures to promote growth while maintaining fiscal discipline. Sharma emphasised that continued engagement with stakeholders is key to formulating policies that are both inclusive and growth-oriented.

The Chief Minister concluded by stating that consistent leadership and long-term vision remain critical to sustaining India’s development momentum and realising the objective of a resilient and globally competitive economy.
