Admissions in 128 Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools in Alwar to Begin from March 14

Rajasthan Schools to Remain Closed on Devnarayan Jayanti.

The admission process for the 2026–27 academic session in 128 government-run Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools in Alwar will begin on March 14, officials said.

Students seeking admission can submit online applications between March 14 and March 23, while the new academic session will start from April 1.

Lottery System If Applications Exceed Seats

If the number of applications exceeds the available seats, students will be selected through a lottery system on March 25.

The list of selected students will be released on March 27, and the admission process will begin from March 28.

Nursery Admissions in Pre-Primary Schools

In schools where pre-primary classes or Bal Vatika are operational, all Nursery seats will be filled with new admissions.

For other classes, admissions will be granted only against vacant seats.

In schools where Bal Vatika classes are not available, admissions will be offered for UKG, Class 1, and other classes based on seat availability.

Admissions Based on Vacant Seats

For classes where examination results are yet to be declared, currently enrolled students will be provisionally promoted to the next class, and seats will be considered temporarily vacant.

Once the results are announced, the final admission process will be completed based on the actual vacant seats.

Officials Appointed to Monitor Admission Process

To ensure transparency and smooth implementation, the District Education Officer will supervise the admission process at the district level, while nodal officers will be appointed at the block level.

Additionally, each school will have a special quota for up to 10 students, officials said.

The admission initiative aims to provide more students access to English-medium education in government schools across Alwar district.
