Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reaffirmed India’s commitment to peace but issued a strong warning to those who might mistake the country’s patience for weakness. Speaking in Delhi, Singh said that while India has always supported dialogue and peaceful resolution of conflicts, it will not hesitate to respond firmly if provoked.
“We have always played the role of a responsible nation. We have always been in favour of resolving problems through dialogue,” Singh said. However, he cautioned that this approach should not be misinterpreted. “If anyone tries to take advantage of our patience, then they will have to be fully prepared to face ‘quality action’ just like yesterday,” he added, referring to the recent military operation carried out by the Indian Armed Forces.
Singh emphasized that India’s response will always be responsible and measured, but also strong and decisive when needed. He praised the armed forces for their professionalism and readiness, and made it clear that similar actions could be expected in the future if national security is threatened.
His remarks come amid rising national security concerns and reflect the government’s stance of balancing diplomacy with strength to protect the country’s interests.
