Ajmer: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public rally scheduled on February 28 at Kayad Vishram Sthali in Ajmer, Rajasthan Police has intensified security preparations.
Comprehensive arrangements are being put in place — from securing the rally venue to managing parking and traffic movement — to ensure smooth conduct of the high-profile event.
Five Senior IPS Officers Assigned Key Responsibilities
The Police Headquarters has appointed five senior IPS officers to oversee different aspects of the security setup.
The officers deployed include:
- Vikas Sharma (DIG, Cyber Crime)
- Abhishek Andasu (SP Baran)
- Ratan Singh (SP Beawar)
- Rajesh Meena (SP Tonk)
- Mridul Kachhawa (SP Nagaur)
Notably, Vikas Sharma and Abhishek Andasu have previously served in Ajmer.
All officers have been assigned responsibilities related to security arrangements, parking management, and law and order. They are expected to report to the IG Ajmer Range by February 26.
Massive Police Deployment at Rally Venue
In view of the Prime Minister’s rally, police personnel from various ranges and districts have been mobilised.
Key highlights of the security plan include:
- Deployment of over 2,000 police personnel at the rally site
- Assignment of Additional SPs and Deputy SPs for supervision and coordination
- Deployment of 5 companies of the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC) for crowd control and sensitive area monitoring
The RAC units will be strategically positioned to handle crowd management and respond swiftly to any unforeseen situation.
Multi-Layered Security and Traffic Management
Authorities are focusing on:
- Tight perimeter security at Kayad Vishram Sthali
- Dedicated parking zones for attendees
- Traffic diversions and route planning
- Coordination between district police and senior officers
Officials have stated that extensive arrangements are being made to prevent any untoward incident and ensure a safe environment for attendees.
With heightened security and coordinated deployment, the administration aims to ensure the successful and peaceful conduct of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ajmer rally.
