Ajmer, Rajasthan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ajmer on Saturday, where he is set to launch major development initiatives worth ₹16,686 crore, kickstart a nationwide HPV vaccination campaign, and distribute thousands of government job appointment letters.
The public meeting will be held at Kayad Vishramsthali, drawing significant political attention ahead of the upcoming Panchayati Raj and municipal elections in Rajasthan.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, and BJP State President Madan Rathore are expected to attend the event.
Nationwide HPV Vaccination Drive for Adolescent Girls
During the visit, PM Modi will launch the national HPV vaccination campaign by administering the first dose to girls aged 9 to 14 years. The initiative aims to prevent cervical cancer and strengthen preventive healthcare for adolescent girls across India.
The programme is seen as a significant step in enhancing women’s health and expanding immunisation coverage nationwide.
₹16,686 Crore Development Projects for Rajasthan
The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects related to:
- Urban and rural development
- Roads and highways
- Railways
- Irrigation
- Technology and industrial infrastructure
Out of the total projects, 34 state-related schemes worth ₹8,554 crore are included. Additionally, nine national highway and energy projects worth ₹8,132 crore will be inaugurated or launched from Kayad Vishramsthali.
Key projects include:
- Bandikui–Jaipur Four-Lane Greenfield Expressway (₹1,207 crore)
- Delhi–Vadodara Access-Controlled Greenfield Expressway
- Other major highway and energy infrastructure initiatives
These projects are expected to enhance connectivity, boost economic growth, and strengthen Rajasthan’s infrastructure network.
21,863 Appointment Letters to Youth
In a major employment push, PM Modi will distribute 21,863 appointment letters to newly recruited youth in various government departments.
The appointments include:
- 3,320 Patwaris in the Revenue Department
- 2,291 Contract Account Assistants
- 2,950 Livestock Assistants
- 3,822 Community Health Officers (CHOs)
- 7,357 Public Health Care Nurses
- Medical Lab Technicians, Nursing Superintendents, and other posts
The move is aimed at strengthening public service delivery while generating employment opportunities for Rajasthan’s youth.
Political Significance Ahead of Local Elections
The Ajmer visit holds political significance as it comes ahead of Panchayati Raj and municipal elections in the state. The combination of healthcare initiatives, infrastructure development, and employment generation is likely to have a strong impact across constituencies.
