New RIICO Industrial Area Approved in Alwar; 24.63 Hectares Land Reserved at Raeni Dhorala

Alwar, Rajasthan: In a major boost to industrial development, Alwar district is set to get a new RIICO industrial area at Raeni Dhorala, with 24.63 hectares of land reserved for the project.

The district administration has issued a demand note to RIICO, paving the way for the development of the new industrial zone.

Push for Industrial Growth in Alwar

The move comes as Alwar faces increasing demand from industries for land, while existing industrial areas are nearing saturation.

Officials said the new industrial area will help:

  • Provide land to new industries
  • Boost local employment
  • Strengthen industrial infrastructure in the region

Environmental Clearances Remain a Challenge

Due to its proximity to the Sariska Tiger Reserve and inclusion in the National Capital Region (NCR), industrial projects in Alwar must undergo strict approval processes.

Key challenges include:

  • Restrictions on pollution-causing industries
  • Multiple environmental clearances
  • Delays due to National Conservation Zone (NCZ) regulations

This has caused several industrial proposals to remain pending.

Two Industrial Areas Recently Approved

Following central approval, two new industrial areas have recently been sanctioned in Alwar:

  • Rundh Saukari (Kathumar): Spread over 25 hectares
    • 4 plots already allotted
    • 17 demand notes issued

With the addition of the Raeni Dhorala industrial area, more opportunities for industrial expansion are expected.

However, only non-polluting industries will be allowed in these zones.

Pending Projects Await Clearance

Several proposed industrial areas are still awaiting approval due to regulatory hurdles:

  • Moonpur Karmala (Ramgarh)
  • Rasgan and Barkheda (Malakheda)

These projects are pending clearance under the National Conservation Zone (NCZ).

Land Shortage in Existing Industrial Areas

One of the biggest challenges in Alwar is the shortage of industrial plots in existing zones like MIA (Matsya Industrial Area).

  • No vacant plots available in MIA
  • Several projects under investment agreements remain stalled

In contrast, Bhiwadi’s RIICO industrial area still has vacant plots available.

Boost Expected for Regional Economy

The approval of the new RIICO industrial area at Raeni Dhorala is expected to ease land constraints and attract new investments, giving a push to industrial growth in Alwar.
