Jyotiraditya Scindia: India Building Trusted Digital Bridge for the World, Not Just 1.4 Billion Citizens

Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said India is not just building telecom networks for its 1.4 billion citizens, but is also creating a trusted digital bridge for the world. He made the remarks while inaugurating the India Pavilion at the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, one of the world’s largest technology and telecommunications events.

India Promoting Global Connectivity with ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ Vision

Speaking at the event, Scindia said India’s approach to connectivity is guided by the philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family). He emphasized that connectivity should empower humanity, strengthen partnerships, and drive shared global prosperity.

Interacting with media, the minister said that while the world is discussing the future of connectivity in the “IQ era,” India stands at the intersection of intelligence and infrastructure, where connectivity meets capability and innovation aligns with inclusion.

Scindia highlighted that India’s telecom transformation under the leadership of Narendra Modi has been powered by several key factors, including:

He noted that these initiatives have significantly strengthened India’s position in the global telecom sector.

More than 40 Indian telecom and technology companies participated in the India Pavilion at Mobile World Congress 2026. These companies are working across a wide range of cutting-edge technologies, including:

  • 4G, 5G and emerging 6G technologies
  • Open RAN solutions
  • Optical and satellite communications
  • Semiconductor design
  • AI-driven network intelligence
  • Cybersecurity and telecom software
